The Fruit
Managed by the Myers Family and Vinetenders, Guadalupe and Hyland Vineyards are the exclusive sources of fruit for Siltstone Wines.  Due to careful site and clone selection and impeccable vineyard management, the term "great wines begin in the vineyard" is a reality for Siltstone Wines' Pinot noir, Pinot gris and Riesling.

The Label
Siltstone Wine is labeled as "Vinetenders Selection."  Like a winemaker's reserve or barrel select designation, this indicates the Myers' deep commitment to actively participate in all levels of wine production from the vineyard to the bottle.

Our Winemaking Philosophy
The Myers' winemaking philosophy is to produce an expression of the unique characteristics of the vineyards of the North Willamette Valley.  The valley, directly influenced by the Pacific Ocean only 40 miles to the west, is a prime location for growing Pinot noir, Pinot gris and Riesling.  Marine air moves into the valley each evening, cooling the summer and fall days.  This provides optimum gradual ripening conditions.  The climate, coupled with Vinetenders' vineyard management practices, results in a wine requiring limited intervention allowing the natural terroir expression.

New Release!
2008 Guadalupe Vineyard Pinot noir
Rated 92 points by Wine Advocate
"The 2008 Pinot Noir Guadalupe Vineyard is medium ruby red with a fragrant bouquet of smoke, exotic spices, incense, cherry blossom, strawberry, and raspberry that jumps from the glass. Elegant on the palate with intense red fruit flavors, plenty of ripe tannin, and outstanding depth and concentration, it will continue to blossom for another 3-4 years and provide a drinking window extending from 2013 to 2023. At the asking price it is an outstanding value." (Wine Advocate #191 Oct. 2010)
